The President of the United Abia Artistes and Patriots (UAAP) Forum, Ambassador Dr. Osita Offor “De Ultimate Commander” (Ikenga Gburugburu), has called on the people of Abia State to give Governor Alex Otti their unwavering support as the 2027 elections approach. Speaking at a recent forum in Umuahia, Dr. Offor emphasized that Governor Otti’s leadership has ushered in tangible development and transformative policies that are reshaping the state for the better.
According to Dr. Offor, the time has come for Ndi Abia to rise above political noise and partisan distractions that are aimed at protecting narrow interests rather than promoting the welfare of the people. “We must not allow opposition voices, often motivated by personal gain, to cloud our judgment. Governor Otti has demonstrated commitment, vision, and results that speak for themselves,” he stressed.
Dr. Offor highlighted several key achievements of Governor Otti’s administration, including the rapid completion of critical road networks, the revitalization of the healthcare system, and the introduction of programs that empower youths and women across the state. Among these initiatives, transformation of transportation system in the state, provision of unterruptable power supply in the metropolis while working endless to extend it to the rural areas, the construction of Omenuko bridge, Arochukwu access road, and endless road construction and rehabilitation, has significantly reduced travel time and improved commerce, stands out as a hallmark of his administration. Likewise, Governor Otti’s policies on education, particularly the renovation and equipping of public schools, have ensured access to quality learning for thousands of students.
“The legacy of Governor Otti is clear. Within a short span, he has turned visionary ideas into practical projects that benefit every community. His administration has strengthened infrastructure, created employment opportunities, and improved the standard of living for Ndi Abia,” Dr. Offor noted.
Calling on Abians to take a closer look at these achievements, Dr. Offor said, “A second term for Governor Otti is not merely a political choice; it is an investment in continuity, stability, and accelerated development. Ndi Abia must unite to ensure that the progress we have begun is not interrupted by those whose interest is self-serving rather than public-serving.”
In closing, the UAAP President urged all stakeholders, including traditional rulers, opinion leaders, and civil society groups, to actively engage in promoting awareness of Governor Otti’s accomplishments. “Let us rally behind a leader who has proven his dedication to the people. Abia’s transformation is underway, and it deserves to continue without hindrance,” Dr. Offor concluded.
