Dr. Martina Amarachi Ononiwu Gears Up for National Assembly Bid, Shares Insights from APC National Convention

Dr. Martina Amarachi Ononiwu, popularly known as Martina Martins, has affirmed her commitment to representing Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, following her active participation as a delegate at the recently concluded APC National Convention.

Speaking on her journey, Dr. Ononiwu described the process as both demanding and rewarding. “Since I started this journey, I have not rested. It has been one engagement after another—from consultations and caucus meetings to critical discussions with stakeholders and the politicking of politics,” she said.

Dr. Ononiwu attributed her progress to divine intervention, noting the support of influential and gifted individuals who have joined her campaign. “God has been so good. He is helping me, and He has mobilized men and women, divine connectors, men of influence, and destiny helpers to join this divine call,” she said.

In addition to her political engagements, Dr. Ononiwu emphasized her dedication to connecting with her constituents. “I am learning, I am integrating with my people, and I love it. Most importantly, I am learning my Ibeku dialect. Give me just three months, and I will be speaking Igbo fluently,” she quipped humorously.

Reflecting on her journey, Dr. Ononiwu encouraged others aspiring to serve to focus on the process and embrace the work with passion. “Forget the distractions, enjoy the process, and obey the divine call to serve. Period,” she said.

Her words signal a determined and grassroots-focused campaign, aimed at bringing representation that is both culturally grounded and responsive to the needs of the people of Ikwuano, Umuahia North, and Umuahia South Federal Constituency.
