During a meeting of Umunneochi stakeholders over the weekend at the residence of the Mayor of Umunneochi, Hon. Sunny Afuruobi, Ambassador Dr Osita Offor, “De Ultimate Commander” and Ikenga Gburugburu of Ohafia Ancient Kingdom, delivered a clear and unwavering message to Ndi Abia: the efforts of opposition forces to disrupt the remarkable progress of Abia State will not succeed.
According to him, Governor Alex Chioma Otti, OFR, has, in a short span, transformed Abia State. Roads that were once mere dreams are now a reality; healthcare facilities have been upgraded, education revitalised, and critical social infrastructure strengthened. Under his leadership, Abia has witnessed unprecedented economic activity, investment opportunities, and policies that genuinely prioritise the people.
In his remarks, the Mayor of Umunneochi, Hon. Sunny Afuruobi, called on the people of Umunneochi and Abia State at large to rally behind Alex Otti through OTTIMENIA Grassroots Movement as the most effective way to ensure continuity in good governance. He emphasised that this movement is not merely political—it is about safeguarding progress, empowering communities, and ensuring that the aspirations of every Abian are fulfilled under a leadership that delivers tangible results.
Ambassador Offor reminded Abia electorates that those now vowing to “liberate” the state were the very same individuals who held it in a coma for over 24 years. Changing parties does not equate to a change of heart; these are the same hawks seeking to devour the state’s patrimony for their personal benefit and that of their immediate families.
He further cautioned Ndi Abia against being swayed by empty rhetoric from failed politicians. The choice is unmistakable: the path of sustained progress, continuity, and genuine development lies under the capable leadership of Governor Alex Otti.
Addressing allegations about supposed APC “ghost developments” across the state, Offor dismissed them outright, stating, “The opposition should go ahead and mourn themselves because they’re already dead.”
Ambassador Offor concluded by urging all Abians to remain vigilant, reject deceit, and commit to working tirelessly to maintain the state’s upward trajectory. The people know who delivers, and the people will deliver the mandate for continuity.
