Guardiola: Liverpool Are Not Finished — “They’ll Be Back”

In the Premier League, Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, is confident that Liverpool will make a comeback in their quest for the title. Despite Liverpool’s recent three-game losing streak, Guardiola insists they are far from out of the race. He remarked, “They’re already done… and I’ll tell you they will be back,” in a tongue-in-cheek response to early-season punditry.

With Arsenal currently leading the league and Liverpool sitting four points behind (with City three points off the top), Guardiola cautioned against making premature judgments. “Pundits think they know what will happen after just five games—I don’t. Just wait for 10 or 15 games. Liverpool and Arsenal will be in the mix, and someone else will join them. Hopefully, we can be part of it too,” he added.

Liverpool recently rebounded with an impressive 5-1 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League. This weekend, Arsenal and Liverpool will each face Crystal Palace and Brentford, respectively. Guardiola also noted that multiple teams, including Newcastle, Manchester United, Tottenham, and Chelsea, will compete for the title, promising an exciting battle ahead.
